Bateman & Co.
AUDIENCE INSIGHT, CONCEPT CREATION, Brand Design, Interior Design, SALES & MARKETING
To be successful in an already crowded grab and go marketplace, a new venture needs to be different – stand for something – able to combine substance and style. The substance is the heritage of Compass. Formed in 1941 to help the war effort, the inspiration is Jack Bateman. The architect of a British success story and a man with a clear purpose – to feed productivity.
With a renowned history from which to draw inspiration, there was only one way to progress Bateman’s and that was to focus on the very ‘Best of British’.
Historic wartime factories were the inspiration for the interior design of Bateman & Co. Vintage metro tiles, packing crate cabinetry, industrial light fittings and furniture combine to create an authentic ambience.
We were commissioned to oversee the design and build of the first venue, creating detailed plans for the future rollout of further highstreet sites.
We have been involved in post-delivery Q+A groups to help identify areas needing improvement. One area in need of enhancement was food and drink to ensure delivery of a healthy, balanced menu.
